In the second part of her post, Angelina provided a historical context for Jabalia, home to one of Gaza’s largest refugee camps.

“Jabalia refugee camp stands as the largest among the eight refugee camps in the Gaza Strip. It was established after the 1948 War, where refugees sought refuge, many of them having fled from villages in southern Palestine. Despite its relatively small size, covering only 1.4 square kilometers, Jabalia camp is home to a staggering 116,011 registered Palestine Refugees with UNRWA. This enduring situation has persisted for 75 years since the onset of the Palestine conflict.”

Bollywood star Bipasha Basu also added her voice to the growing number of protestors calling for an end to the Gaza genocide. She shared a heart-wrenching image showing two children crying next to their lifeless mother, surrounded by the ruins of destroyed buildings.

Pakistani actress Ushna Shah has also been vocal in her stance against the Gaza genocide.

She used her Instagram platform to shed light on the distressing conditions faced by the people in Gaza and emphasised that they might soon be deprived of the means to share their videos and pictures with the world.

Meanwhile, noted Bollywood lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar also expressed his outrage over the comparison of Gaza to Hiroshima, taking to Twitter to share his sentiments.
