Astronomer CEO Andy Byron caught red handed at Coldplay concert

WEB DESK: CEO of software company, Astronomer, Andy Byron has made headlines for all the wrong reasons, after a clip of him from the Coldplay concert went viral.

When the ‘Kiss cam’ at the concert panned at Andy, he was caught – in a moment too cosy for colleagues – with his chief of Human Resources, Kristin Cabot. Coldplay’s Chris Martin said “Oh, look at these two…” when he saw the supposedly cute moment, but did not waste any moment when Andy Byron ducked, saying, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.”

However, by then it was already too late. Moments into the incident, the clip became a social media frenzy and drama officially entered the chat. Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan, shared the clip on her social media and removed the Byron surname from her profile, further fueling the discourse.

While some netizens called the incident as it is, condemning cheating and shaming Byron and Cabot, most people had a field day with it, particularly on X (formerly Twitter). One user asked for “recommendations of concerts for someone just getting into cheating,” while another said it’s “the wokeness, since back in the day CEOs had affairs with secretaries, now they are hugging middle-aged people’s officers”.

The plethora of posts continued with some fake statements also surfacing, attributed to Andy Byron and to Astronomer. However, they were soon refuted. Both Byron and Cabot have not yet addressed the incident.

The research oriented netizens have uncovered details of Byron’s wife, as well as the history of Cabot’s marriage. She was reportedly divorced in 2022 and so far there is no news of her having been remarried. Nevertheless, the internet storm continues.
