LAHORE: Pakistani superstar Reema Khan has opened up about her personal and professional life in candid talk show with Imran Ashraf.

During the episode, Reema Khan talked about her debut in 1990 with blockbuster movie Bulandi and also shed light on her dancing skills.

The host Ashraf couldn’t help but point out Reema’s surprising lack of controversy in her long and illustrious career as a celebrity. To this, the Nikah actress said: “I always focused on my work. I never felt jealous of my fellow actors or held any grudges against anyone.”

Reema didn’t stop there; she shared insights into her professional relationships in the showbiz, and said that she always had a supportive stance towards her colleagues.

“I encouraged my colleagues and admired their work. Watching actors junior to me never instilled a sense of pride in me,” Khan added.

Reflecting on her rise to stardom, Reema said, “I worked hard day and night to become a successful actor. It was my fortune that my first film was a blockbuster, and its popularity with fans turned me into a star overnight,” referring to the massive success of Bulandi.

Furthermore, the year 2019 saw Reema Khan honoured with the prestigious Pride of Performance Award, a testament to her outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry. Her career has spanned various fields, from stage acting to hosting her own television talk show Reema Show.

However, when it comes to her work, Reema shared her unwavering attitude, stating, “I never took my defeats to heart or internalised them to the point of despair. Similarly, I never made fame and success my obsession.”

Reema attributed her enduring beauty to her positive outlook on life, which includes a strong focus on her mental health. “I love myself very much. I also take good care of my mental and physical health; this is the secret to my beauty as well.”
