Diljit Dosanjh got an offer for Jatt & Juliet 3 he couldn’t refuse

After a successful run with Amar Singh Chamkila, Diljit is now ruling the globe with his concerts and gearing up for his next Punjabi release, Jatt & Juliet 3, starring Neeru Bajwa.

At the trailer launch, Diljit revealed the Jatt & Juliet franchise faced bankruptcy several times. In 2011, he was going to say no to the film until Darshan Grewal gave him a blank cheque. Grewal told him to fill in the amount he wanted, and Diljit decided to ask for the same amount as the highest-paid in the industry, Gurdas Maan.

Speaking to an Indian media platform, Dosanjh recounts, “I didn’t foresee this…I took my manager at the time aside and discussed, ‘Now what do we do? We cannot refuse this no.’ We researched who charged the most in the industry then, it was Gurdas Maan sir, so I decided to enter the same amount.”

Grewal then agreed and even added another 100,000 rupees to seal the deal.

The trailer for Jatt & Juliet 3 premiered on June 11, 2024, with the film set for release on June 27, 2024.
