Ducky Bhai remanded for another three days

LAHORE: A judicial magistrate on Friday extended the physical remand of YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, for another three days.

Ducky Bhai was presented in court after completing his two-day physical remand.

During the hearing, police requested an extension, stating that further interrogation of the accused was required.

The court accepted the plea and handed him over to police on a three-day remand.

The YouTuber was detained by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) in August at Lahore Airport while reportedly attempting to leave the country.

His name had been added to the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL).

The FIR, lodged by NCCIA under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 and relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), accuses him of promoting gambling and betting apps that allegedly defrauded users of millions of rupees.

The case was registered on August 17 under sections 13 (Electronic Forgery), 14 (Electronic Fraud), 25 (Spamming), and 26 (Spoofing) of PECA, along with sections 294-B (Offering prize in connection with trade) and 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of PPC.

This marks the fourth extension of remand for Ducky Bhai since his arrest.
