Euphoria actor Angus Cloud passes away


CALIFORNIA: Angus Cloud, the acclaimed actor renowned for his portrayal of Fezco “Fez” O’Neill in the Home Box Office’s (HBO) Euphoria passed away on Monday in Oakland.

According to the international media, the Oakland Fire Department responded to a medical emergency around 11:30 a.m., but the 25-year-old actor was already deceased. The cause of death remained unknown, and the Oakland Police Department was conducting an active death investigation.

As per the media reports, Cloud’s family, in a heartfelt statement, expressed their profound grief and reminisced his artistic talents, friendship, brotherhood, and resilience in the face of mental health challenges.

“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss,” the statement continued.

Cloud rose to fame through his role in the HBO’s Emmy-winning teen drama series Euphoria, where he appeared  for the show’s first two seasons. He also graced the big screen with movies including North Hollywood (2021) and The Line (2023) and starred in several music videos.

Meanwhile, the Mamiii actor was recently roped in for a horror movie alongside Melissa Berrera and had gained recognition as an honoree at Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event the previous year.

Meanwhile, the HBO expressed grief over Cloud’s passing and praised his immense talent and endearing presence as part of the Euphoria family. Co-star Zendaya also remembered him as a beacon of light, love, and joy.

Born ‘Conor Angus Cloud Hickey’, he attended the Oakland School of the Arts with Zendaya and landed his breakthrough role on Euphoria while working at a Brooklyn restaurant.
