Fans target Minsa Malik after alleged threats to Alizeh Shah

ISLAMABAD: It seems that actress Minsa Malik may need to take a break from social media for a while, seeking refuge from the intense backlash by netizens angered by Alizeh Shah’s posts, in which she accused Malik of issuing death threats.

In a series of emotional Instagram stories, actress Alizeh Shah accused fellow actress Minsa Malik of harassing her and issuing death threats, revealing that Malik allegedly gave her phone number to a suspicious individual based in Dubai in an attempt to damage her reputation.

Alizeh claimed that Minsa began threatening her after she publicly exposed her alleged inappropriate behaviour. After the episode, Minsa Malik had lodged an FIR against Alizeh Shah.

“She’s calling me from unknown numbers and threatening to kill me. If anything happens to me, know that this two-faced woman is responsible,” Alizeh wrote.

According to Alizeh, the harassment isn’t new and dates back several years when, she alleges, Minsa first attempted to malign her character. “This is the same woman who tried to defame me three years ago,” she added.

Alizeh also claimed that the threats escalated after Minsa Malik reportedly shared her contact number with a man in Dubai who contacted her with indecent proposals on behalf of wealthy clients willing to pay money to spend time with her.

She also shared screenshots of those messages on social media, further alleging that the man represented “rich clients” and made inappropriate offers.

“I have always earned with dignity and through halal means,” Alizeh stated, defending her character. “But those who feed off haram have no fear of God or their fate.”

Alizeh further alleged that Minsa Malik had previously filed a legal case against her but later used intermediaries to silence her. “If anyone lays a hand on me, I’ll hit back with my slipper. I’m no Gandhi to offer the other cheek,” she said.

Alizeh Shah has been making headlines for a while for taking jibes at fellow showbiz personalities. Unlike Minsa Malik — who has not publicly responded to the allegations — many others have issued public statements, either apologizing or retaliating against the actress.

Singer Shazia Manzoor appeared to indirectly respond to Alizeh’s criticism in a cryptic Instagram post: “The lowest form of knowledge is seen only in words. The highest form is reflected in character.”

Alizeh, in turn, hit back harshly, referring to a viral video from earlier this month in which she accused Shazia Manzoor of pushing and dragging her during a fashion show.

Reacting to the singer’s post, Alizeh said, “After harassing me publicly, now aunty wants to lecture on character?”
