Faysal Quraishi to star in Abu Aleeha’s Punjabi movie ‘Mango Jatt’

ISLAMABAD: In an exciting development, renowned filmmaker Abu Aleeha has announced his latest project Mango Jatt marking Faysal Quraishi’s debut in Punjabi cinema.

Scheduled to release next Eidul Fitr, the movie promises a delightful blend of rib-tickling humour and adrenaline-pumping action, aiming to redefine the landscape of Punjabi cinema.

Director Abu Aleeha, while talking to the media, shared insights into the unique aspect of the movie, stating, “The movie is unique in the sense that it is casting experienced theatre actors from both Punjab and Sindh. It will be a stepping stone in uniting the provinces’ fan base.”

Meanwhile, the ensemble cast is set to feature seasoned actors from both regions, fostering a collaborative spirit in the movie.

Stepping into the shoes of a Punjabi hero for the first time, Faysal Quraishi assumes the titular role, adding a new dimension to his illustrious career. Aleeha highlighted the actor’s unparalleled experience, highlighting his contributions to numerous blockbuster projects and shows in the television industry.

With the script finalised, the casting process is in full swing, and negotiations are underway with three A-list female stars for the coveted lead roles. Aleeha expressed enthusiasm about the potential additions to the cast, stating, “We’re also in talks with three big female actors for the role of a protagonist in the film and are yet to finalise a name.”

Abu Aleeha’s previous cinematic endeavors, including Kataksha, Sheenogai, Tevar, Udham Patakh, Shotcut, and Javed Iqbal, have garnered international acclaim on various OTT platforms.
