FIR filed against Alizeh Shah for alleged physical abuse by co-star

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani actress Minsa Malik has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against fellow performer Alizeh Shah, accusing physical assault by Shah during a shoot.

According to the media reports, in an FIR lodged in Islamabad, Malik said that the altercation unfolded on Tuesday after she confronted Shah for disrespectful behavior.

According to the FIR, “During the ongoing shoot for a drama, while I was in a scene, Alizeh Shah, seemingly under the influence of drugs, threw a cigarette laced with marijuana at me. I stepped back, and in response, slapped her. This led to her physically attacking me, accompanied by offensive language and self-inflicted garment damage.”

The FIR continued, “Alizeh Shah attempted to throw her sandal, though I evaded it. She was evidently intoxicated during the incident. The scene being filmed inadvertently captured the turmoil. Alizeh urged for the suppression of the video, fearing defamation.”

Meanwhile, Malik’s complaint also outlined Shah’s professional jealousy and mentioned a prior project disruption due to Shah’s troublesome behavior.

However, no official statement has been released by Shah on the allegations.

Is Alizeh Shah the reigning queen of controversy?

Alizeh Shah made her acting debut in 2016 with drama series Choti Si Zindagi, after which she starred in various popular projects including Ehd-e-Wafa, Tanaa Banaa, Bebasi among others.

The 23-year-old actress has always been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Back in 2021, Shah was captured on camera sitting in a car with friends, casually smoking a cigarette.

As the video went viral, Shah was trolled massively by the netizens. Some labelled Shah as a hypocrite and accused her for destroying Pakistan’s “values”.

Meanwhile, netizens also speculated that Shah might have been smoking marijuana.

In a separate incident in 2022, actor-director, during an interview, characterised Shah as “unprofessional”, but he offered an apology eventually acknowledging that her actions were disrespectful and unwarranted.
