Fiza Ali’s ex-husband lashes out at media for using their divorce for ratings

ISLAMABAD: In a recent appearance on a television show, actress cum host Fiza Ali created waves with her frank discussion about her ex-husband Fawad Farooq.

Earlier, during the morning show episode, Fiza opened up about the complexities that led to the end of her marriage, attributing the dissolution to compatibility issues while acknowledging Fawad’s positive qualities.

Surprisingly, Fawad reciprocated the cordiality publicly. Taking to Instagram, he penned a lengthy post criticising the media for sensationalising their divorce for ratings. He clarified that Fiza was invited to a show focusing on single parents, unaware that it would delve into their divorce.

“I want everyone to know that Fiza Ali has been a very good wife and daughter-in-law, and she has been very nice to our family and to me,” Fawad stated, urging respect for her character. He highlighted the personal nature of their disagreements, stressing that certain details couldn’t be disclosed due to privacy concerns.

Expressing his displeasure with media practices, Fawad accused media outlets of exploiting personal matters for popularity. “They shouldn’t ask these things from others as it makes the other person feel bad,” he remarked, underlining the emotional distress caused by such probing questions.

Furthermore, Fawad condemned TV channels for broadcasting intimate details and insisted that artists, like anyone else, deserve respect and privacy. He called on TV show anchors to refrain from hurting others with intrusive questions and cautioned against playing with emotions, particularly regarding sensitive topics like divorce.
