International fast food franchise in Pindi sealed


RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi district administration on Friday sealed the franchise of an International fast food franchise in Rawalpindi.

Assistant Commissioner Cantonment, Qandeel Fatima Memon, enforced the closure following a complaint alleging a steel wire had been discovered in a burger fillet.

The franchise was sealed, after verifying the authenticity of the complaint.

Separately, the assistant commissioner cantonment also sealed OMG Restaurant in Askari 3. According to her, a complaint had been received regarding OMG serving burgers with an unpleasant odour.

After inspecting their kitchen, it was evident that the kitchen’s condition was ‘pathetic’, with cockroaches present and uncovered jars. As a result, the restaurant was sealed. They were sternly warned to improve the hygiene of their kitchen and food preparation processes.
