French museum honours Shah Rukh Khan with gold coin

PARIS: The Greywin Museum in Paris, France issued a gold coin to honuor Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan for his contributions to the performing arts.
The recognition marks the first time an Indian actor has received a gold coin from the French museum.

The coin celebrates Khan’s “extensive career” and global influence in cinema. This latest accolade adds to Khan’s distinguished collection of more than 200 awards, both national and international.
In 2011, Khan received the Pyramid Cone Mary Award from United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). He became the first Indian actor to earn such an award.
He also received the Career Achievement Award at the Locarno Film Festival, further cementing his pioneering role in the industry.
Other notable international awards include the Che Villiers Medal from the French government and the Yale Chubb Fellowship Award.
