Gang-related suspects arrested for firing at Salman Khan’s house

MUMBAI: The Mumbai police have apprehended two individuals allegedly affiliated with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, identified as Vicky Sahib Gupta and Sagarshri Joginder Pal, in connection with the recent shooting incident targeting Bollywood icon Salman Khan’s residence.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday morning, saw two assailants on motorcycles firing shots at Salman Khan’s house before making a swift getaway. However, law enforcement officials were able to track down the suspects, aided by CCTV footage, leading to their arrest from the Bhoj area of Gujarat state.

Anmol Bishnoi, brother of prominent gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, had already accepted the responsibility for the attack. Lawrence Bishnoi himself is currently incarcerated in Delhi’s Tihar Jail, facing charges related to the murder of renowned Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala and other notable personalities.

The arrest of Gupta and Pal marks a significant development in the ongoing efforts to curb the activities of criminal syndicates operating within the region, with authorities intensifying their crackdown on organised crime networks.
