Hand-drawn animation movie ‘The Glassworker’ to hit Pakistani cinemas

WEB DESK: Under the leadership of the talented musician Usman Riaz, Pakistan’s pioneering hand-drawn animation studio, Mano Animation Studios, is gearing up for the highly anticipated release of its debut hand-drawn animated feature film, “The Glassworker,” in theatres nationwide this summer.

The film is set to be distributed by Mandviwalla Entertainment (‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’) in Pakistan.

In 2022, the movie was chosen to be featured in the Work In Progress category at the prestigious Annecy International Animation Festival in France.

Based in Pakistan, the studio employs a team of skilled artists, collaborating with talents from Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, Peru, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, renowned Spanish producer Manuel Cristóbal is involved in the production of the feature film.

“The Glassworker” narrates a tale of coming-of-age, focusing on Vincent, a skilled glassworker, and Alliz, a talented violinist who often visits his shop. As their lives become increasingly complex, the film delves into the dynamics of their relationship.
