LOS ANGELES: Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s hit debut Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan has been nominated for a Hollywood Critics Association TV Award, in the category for “Best Streaming Nonfiction Series”.
Other celebrity-fronted shows in this category include Eugene Levy’s The Reluctant Traveler, Rainn Wilson’s Geography of Bliss and Jeremy Renner’s Rennervations.
The couple’s six-part series documented their love story and the circumstances surrounding their dramatic split from the monarchy in 2020.

According to Daily Express commentator Mark Broadman “there is a lot standing on Netflix’s investment if it doesn’t win but the award would carry huge status for them.”
“I have looked at all of the possible categories and it is the most high-profile documentary series within that category,” he added.
The welcome news comes after the couple experienced a tumultuous period in their post-royal work life, due to their split with their former media partner Spotify. Their podcasting executive labelled them “grifters” after Meghan’s venture on the platform was deemed a failure.
