Burak ozicivit leaving the kurlus osman series

WEB DESK: Burak Ozcivit the lead actor of the popular Turkish series Kuruluş Osman, is reportedly exiting the show due to a dispute over his pay with producer  Mehmet Bozdağ.

As per Turkish media, the actor demanded 4 million Turkish Lira per episode in the new season, which sparked a fallout with the producers. Following the disagreement, both Burak and the production team unfollowed each other on social media, further fueling exit rumours.

Reports suggest that the upcoming season will kick off by showing an older Osman Bey and will shift its focus towards his son, Orhan Bey’s era. The actor for Orhan’s role is yet to be confirmed, but names like Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Murat Yıldırım, and İbrahim Çelikkol are reportedly being considered.

Burak, who played the founder of the Ottoman Empire in the series, is among the highest-paid actors in the Turkish industry. For Kuruluş Osman, he earned over 40,000 euros per episode. In contrast, other cast members are reportedly paid between 15,000 and 30,000 euros per episode.

Kuruluş Osman has a massive following not just in Turkey but also in Pakistan and across the globe. The series recently wrapped up its sixth season.
