NEW YORK: Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has been nominated for Time’s “Person of the Year” award.
Middleton, 42, joined a list of famous names as she was praised for initiating an important “conversation about privacy and health for public figures”, according to the New York Post.
Princess Kate faced significant health challenges this year, including abdominal surgery followed by a cancer diagnosis in January. She stepped back from the public eye to focus on her recovery but has slowly resumed her royal duties.
Her recent appearance at the “Together at Christmas” carol service, an event she organized at Westminster Abbey, emphasized themes of love and compassion, inspired by her challenging year.

The prestigious award is given to a person or a group of people who have left a great impact, on the world — whether it be positive or negative.
The name of the winner will be announced on Thursday (December 12).
This year’s winner will take the baton from singer Taylor Swift, who was named Time’s “Person of the Year” in 2023.
