Kelley Mack from ‘Walking Dead’ and ‘Chicago Med’ dies at 33

WEB DESK: Kelley Mack, best known for her role as “Addy” in The Walking Dead, has died at the age of 33. The actress, born Kelley Klebenow, passed away on August 2 following a diagnosis of glioma of the central nervous system, according to an obituary released on Tuesday.

Her family shared the news via Mack’s official Instagram, writing, “It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.” The post was accompanied by a single photo of Mack and reflected the same message of peace and love included in her obituary.

Mack’s acting career spanned television, film, commercials, and voice work. She appeared in season 9 of The Walking Dead and held recurring roles on Chicago Med and 9-1-1. Her film credits include Broadcast Signal Intrusion and Delicate Arch. In addition to on-screen performances, she contributed voice-over work, including a voice match for Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

She also appeared in numerous national ad campaigns, including for Dr Pepper, Dairy Queen, and Chick-fil-A. In a recent Rakuten commercial, she shared screen time with her mother, Kristen.

Mack graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 2010 and earned a cinematography degree from Chapman University in 2014. Her passion for filmmaking began with a video camera as a childhood birthday gift, which ignited her lifelong love for storytelling.

Described by family as a creative and compassionate presence, Mack was known not only for her artistic talents but also for her warmth and generosity. “She cherished time with her family and friends, finding joy in collaboration and storytelling,” her obituary said.

Mack is survived by her parents, a sister and her brother Parker Klebenow, who is also an actor, and her longtime partner, Logan.

She will appear posthumously in an upcoming Universal project, where she plays a character named “Ricky.”
