According to the media reports, a woman reported the battery incident to the LVMPD on July 30, stating that she had attended the concert and was struck by an item thrown from the stage.
Meanwhile, the video of the incident went viral capturing the moment when the woman who threw the drink apologised immediately after the incident. However, Cardi B left the stage after addressing the offender with some strong words.
Although the incident became the talk of the town, but the closure of the case against Cardi B has marked the end of the legal investigation.
The incident adds to a concerning trend in the music industry where performers have faced dangerous situations during their shows. Recently, Bebe Rexha was nearly knocked out by a fan throwing a cell phone at her head in New York, Harry Styles was hit with an unidentified object in Vienna, and Latto had a similar projectile thrown at her during a performance in Germany.
