NEW YORK: Renowned British singer Lola Young cancelled her scheduled performance in Washington, DC, a day after collapsing on stage during a music festival in New York City.
The 24-year-old singer, best known for her 2024 UK chart-topping single “Messy”, was performing her song “Conceited” at the All Things Go Music Festival held at Forest Hills Stadium, New York, on Saturday, when the incident occurred.

She was immediately escorted backstage for medical assistance. Hours later, the singer assured fans of her well-being, stating she was “doing ok.”
Just moments before the incident, Lola had addressed the crowd, sharing that she had been going through a tough few days.
Due to her health condition, she was unable to perform at Sunday’s event in Washington, DC.
“I’m sorry to confirm that I won’t be playing All Things Go in DC today,” she wrote in a post on Instagram.

In her statement, Lola expressed gratitude for her fans and her commitment to her profession.
“I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted, so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this,” she said.
Addressing her supporters and critics alike, she added, “I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future. Thank you to all those who listen and care. To all the people that love to be mean online, please give me a day off.”
