Malcolm in the Middle to return with original cast

WEB DESK: In yet another case of reboots, continuations and spinoffs, Disney+ greenlit a revival of the beloved 2000s sitcom “Malcolm in the Middle”.
The revival will bring four brand new episodes to life.

The continuation was led by the original creator, Linwood Boomer, and will see the return of original, beloved cast: Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek in their respective roles.
The upcoming episodes will follow the titular Malcom and his daughter as they get swept up in their family’s zany chaos as Hal and Lois insist on celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with a family gathering.
The president of the Disney Branded Television, Ayo Davis, gushed over the project.
She talked about the show’s trademark blend of bizarre humour and heartfelt moments that connected viewers across generation.
Malcolm in the Middle originally aired from 2000 till 2006 for a total of seven seasons and 151 episodes.
The series was a hit from the start, with its single-camera format garnering critical acclaim along with its humour.
The received a whopping 33 Emmy nominations, although it won only seven awards throughout its run.
The continuation will hit all the right marks with nostalgia seeped in with new stories. How it will be handled is up for the viewers to decide.

The four episodes will be produced by 20th Television and New Regency. It will be directed by Ken Kwapis.
