Marina Khan opens up about not having children

Marina KHan

ISLAMABAD: Marina Khan, one of Pakistan’s most beloved actresses, recently shared a personal decision of not having children that has intrigued many of her fans.

Known for her iconic roles in Tanhaiyan, Dhoop Kinare, and Jackson Heights, Marina has now revealed why she and her husband, television producer Jalil Akhtar, decided not to have children.

In a candid interview, Marina Khan explained that their choice to remain child-free was a mutual decision, born out of a deep understanding of their own desires and lifestyle.

Despite being fond of children and enjoying the time spent with their nieces and nephews, the couple felt that parenting was not for them. “We would visit our siblings and play with their kids, but always returned home feeling content with our decision,” Marina shared.

She emphasized that their relationship thrives on shared experiences and quality time together, which they believe would have been significantly altered by having children.

This lifestyle choice has allowed them to focus on their careers and personal passions without the additional responsibilities that come with parenthood.

Marina also offered advice on what to consider before entering into marriage. She highlighted the importance of mutual support, respect, and shared life goals. “Marriage is a partnership,” she said. “You need to ensure that you and your partner have compatible views on life, love, and respect for each other’s choices.”
