Maryam Nawaz is a style icon, says Azma Bokhari                    

LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has said that Maryam Nawaz is a style icon but focus should be on her performance rather than her clothing.

Clarifying her statement in a Private news channel Azma Bokhari said she had never said that Maryam Nawaz does not wear branded clothes, however, she now prefers simple dresses.

It is pertinent to note that earlier information minister had discussed Maryam Nawaz’s fashion sense in a TV show, a video clip of which went viral on social media.

Regarding the lifestyle of Maryam Nawaz that after becoming the Chief Minister, Azma Bokhari said that Maryam has made major lifestyle changes, and now she mostly likes simple clothes. Maryam Nawaz does not need anyone’s permission for what she is wearing, Bokhari said.

She said that the focus should be on her performance as Chief Minister rather than her clothing.

Azma Bokhari continued to say that in the Eid show, she had said that sometimes she thinks that she wears more expensive clothes than Maryam Nawaz.

Speaking in the program, Punjab Information Minister said that Chief Minister of Punjab does not copy anyone but everyone copies her, Maryam mostly does online shopping.

Bokhari had further said that Maryam Nawaz wears small brands’ lawn shirts but she still looks very beautiful. She has the best fashion sense.

 Maryam Nawaz buys lawn dresses worth Rs500, Rs600 or Rs800 found in the market. It’s not about the price and brands of the clothes, but the real thing is how someone carries these clothes.
