Massive 13-foot alligator found carrying human remains

FLORIDA: A passer-by in Florida made a disturbing discovery when they spotted a giant 13-foot alligator carrying human remains in its mouth.

According to Sky news, the giant reptile was observed in a canal near Largo, approximately 20 miles west of Tampa, by Jamarcus Bullard.

Bullard said that he encountered the 13-foot alligator with a corpse in the water on a Friday afternoon. He recounted his experience, stating, “I threw a rock at the gator just to see if it was really a gator, and it pulled the body, like it was holding on to the lower part of the torso, and pulled it under the water.”

Taking swift action, Bullard began recording the incident on his phone and promptly contacted the authorities. In a video shared with the news station, an officer from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission can be seen measuring the reptile.

As per the reports, the 13-foot, 8.5-inch male alligator was subsequently removed from the water and, as reported by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, was “humanely killed.” The statement further revealed that the remains of an adult had been recovered at the scene. As of now, no information about the deceased individual has been released, and an investigation is currently underway.

To ascertain the cause of death, the medical examiner’s office will conduct an autopsy. The discovery has understandably left some locals feeling shocked and scared, with Jennifer Dean expressing concern about her children, who frequently walk near the canal.

Bullard, who also walks along the water to and from work, has expressed intentions to exercise greater caution in the future.
