Meet the eight most notorious serial killers

Serial killers, though not formally classified in legal codes, have long held a morbid fascination for both media and the public. These individuals commit multiple murders in separate incidents, separated by time. Here, we delve into the dark histories of some of the world’s most notorious serial killers.

8. Javed Iqbal

In a chilling chapter of Pakistan’s criminal history, Javed Iqbal emerged as one of the nation’s most prolific and cold-blooded serial killers. His confession sent shockwaves through the country and beyond, revealing a gruesome tale of killing and raping 100 children in span of six months.

“I could have killed 500. This was not a problem; money was not a problem. But the pledge I had taken was of killing 100 children,” Iqbal’s confession left the public in a state of disbelief and horror.

He justified his heinous acts as acts of vengeance against the police, who had accused him of sodomy. Internationally, his case garnered attention for the unprecedented nature of his sentencing. The judge delivered a sentence that mirrored the brutality of his crimes, declaring:

“You will be strangled to death in front of the parents whose children you killed, your body will then be cut into 100 pieces and submerged in acid, just as you did to your victims.”

Yet, in a final, shocking twist, Iqbal evaded the sentence imposed upon him, taking his own life before the scheduled execution.
