A huge sale went live on the PlayStation Store on Wednesday, bringing discounts to over 3000 items and 2000 full games.
The mega sale will last until March 26. Here are just a few of the highlights on offer, from three of the biggest game series of all time. The full list can be found here: on the PlayStation Store.
Final Fantasy series:
Various games from the Final Fantasy series are on offer. If you’re feeling nostalgic or want to experience some of the classics, you might want to pick up Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy IX, both of which are discounted by 60 per cent. The former is not only considered on of the greatest and most influential JRPG’s of all time, but also one of the greatest games ever period. The latter on the other hand is the personal favourite of many out of the entire series. Similarly, another fan favourite, Final Fantasy X and its sequel X-2, are on the list too! The combined HD remaster of the two games is also discounted by 60 per cent.
But, if you’re not in the mood for a little dated, more modern Final Fantasy titles available as well. Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the first two games in what will eventually become a trilogy retelling (and advancing) the story of the original, are available as well. Remake is discounted by 50 per cent, Rebirth by 30 per cent, and the twin package containing both is discounted by 30 per cent as well. They feature some of the best combat systems in JRPG history, melding action combat with the ability to manually select actions. Final Fantasy XVI is discounted as well. It features pure action combat and some of the most intense and grand boss battles of any game in the genre. Oh, and Final Fantasy VIII is available as well.

Assassins Creed Series:
A whopping 11 games from Ubisoft’s Assassins Creed series are discounted. Classics such as Assassins Creed 3: Remastered and Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag are up for grabs, as well as the Ezio Collection, which includes Assassins Creed 2, Assassins Creed Brotherhood, and Assassins Creed Revelations. Black Flag and the Ezio Collection are discounted by 70 per cent each, while AC 3 is 75 per cent off. Assassins Creed Rogue: Remastered and Syndicate are also on offer, with the latter having receiving a surprise 60 FPS update late last year. Both are discounted by 70 per cent. Assassins Creed Unity is also available and many consider it to be one of the best in the series, especially since its numerous updates which more or less fixes the tragic state it released in. It is also discounted by 70 per cent.
If you’re more of a fan of the newer, more RPG-esque titles, the deluxe editions of Assassins Creed Origins, Assassins Creed Odyssey, and Assassins Creed Valhalla are all on offer for 85 per cent off, 80 per cent off, and 75 per cent off respectively. However, with the latest title of the series, Assassins Creed Shadows, releasing later this month, fans of the series may want to save their money.
Metal Gear Solid series:
Each of the first three games in Hideo Kojima’s legendary action adventure stealth series is available as part of the Meal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1, at a 30 per cent discount. The first two games in the bundle are also available on their own with the same discount. However, the third in the series, Snake Eater, is still full price if bought alone.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience, which includes Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, is available with a 40 per cent discount. The Phantom Pain is considered by many to be the peak of the series in terms of gameplay, providing players with one of the best action stealth experiences available.
