Model Archita Phukan gets caught in intimate video scandal

WEB DESK: Assamese model and influencer Archita Phukan, popularly known online as Babydoll Archi, has become the centre of an online controversy after a morphed video and doctored images began circulating on social media, sparking confusion and heated speculation.

A video clip, showing a woman resembling Archita in an intimate moment, quickly went viral under titles like “Archita Phukan Leaked Video” and “Babydoll Archi Sexy Clip.” While the footage wasn’t overtly explicit, its suggestive tone drew widespread attention. Social media users debated whether it was a soft launch of adult-themed content, a marketing gimmick, or a malicious leak.

The situation intensified after Archita’s recent viral photo with well-known adult film actress Kendra Lust, which led to speculation about a possible collaboration or career move. In a previous Instagram post, Archita had described meeting Lust as “inspiring,” praising her confidence and success, further fuelling rumours.

However, the controversy took a darker turn when police arrested Pratim Bora, reportedly Archita’s former boyfriend, from Tinsukia.

According to officials, Bora was behind a fake social media profile that had been posting AI-generated and digitally altered images of Archita to tarnish her reputation.

The model took legal action after discovering the content online. She filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Dibrugarh Police Station, prompting the cybercrime unit to launch a swift investigation. Digital forensics led investigators back to Bora, whose laptop and phone were seized for examination.

Authorities confirmed that Bora confessed to creating the fake account out of personal resentment following their breakup. He has been booked under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology (IT) Act, including cyber harassment, defamation, and invasion of privacy.

The account, which remained active for several weeks before being taken down, had caused serious harm to Archita’s online reputation.
