Nadia Khan opens up about her failed marriage

KARACHI: Renowned actress and host Nadia Khan recently acknowledged her past mistakes, especially regarding her failed marriage, admitting it was the result of an ‘immature’ decision.

She shared her reflections during an appearance on the show Good Morning Pakistan, where she candidly discussed her personal life.

Nadia revealed that her first marriage was a significant mistake. She admitted that despite her family’s disapproval, she insisted on going ahead with it.

She was only 18 at the time and, driven by emotions, ignored her family’s advice, including her father’s suggestion to delay marriage and focus on her education. Her mother had also shared a dream in which she envisioned Nadia’s marriage not ending well, but Nadia dismissed this warning.

Talking about the struggles she faced abroad after marriage, Nadia shared that limited education meant she had to work low-wage jobs. She mentioned how her family often reminded her of friends who completed their studies before marrying, facing fewer financial challenges.

In a heartfelt confession, Nadia Khan admitted that rushing into marriage without maturity was her biggest mistake.

Reflecting on the past, she acknowledged that the lack of careful consideration led to the breakdown of her marriage and eventual separation from her husband.

After 10 years, she dared to tell her father about her unhappy marriage. Her father instructed her to be in Pakistan on the first flight. 

Nadia Khan said that she has two children with her first husband.
