Nadir Ali’s outrageous question to Sunita Marshall ignites fury


ISLAMABAD: Pakistani YouTuber Nadir Ali has found himself at the center of a heated controversy after asking actress Sunita Marshall inappropriate question regarding her faith in his podcast.

The incident has garnered widespread criticism and sparked outrage among netizens.

During the podcast, Ali questioned Marshall about why she had not converted to Islam, despite her husband, actor Hassan Ahmed, and her in-laws being Muslims.

Marshall’s came back with a swift response asserting that she was under no pressure from her husband or his family to change her religion.

She emphasized that comments on social media held no significance for her and stressed the importance of embracing a religion wholeheartedly rather than succumbing to external pressures.

Marshall’s colleagues have rallied behind her to condemn the ‘insensitive’ nature of questions asked by the podcast host.

Suno Chanda actor Nadia Afgan took to Instagram, expressing her pride in Marshall for gracefully handling the disgraceful line of questioning and lashed out at Ali saying his question only revealed that “there is a village of idiots and the population is flourishing”.

TV host Anoushey Ashraf echoed the sentiments  and highlighted the potential danger that such line of questioning holds for individuals from minorities.

The controversy surrounding Ali has not gone unnoticed by netizens, who have expressed their outrage over his ‘insensitivity’.

The popular YouTuber, who had gained fame for his comedic content, is now facing negative attention due to the controversy generated by his podcast.
