KARACHI: Renowned morning show host and actor Nida Yasir shared the valuable lessons she learned throughout her professional journey and personal life.
During the episode of Hafiz Ahmed Podcast, Nida engaged in a candid conservation and delved into her personal journey as an actor, television show host and a spouse.
Nida shared her perspective on marriages having shorter lifespans these days. She attributed “lack of tolerance” as a key factor contributing to the breakdown of marriages.
“Tolerance has diminished. People are more aware now and are well-acquainted with their rights. When there is mistreatment, they don’t seek a resolution,” she expressed.

Nida further said that while acknowledging one’s legal and divinely bestowed right to divorce is essential, it should not prompt couples to hastily end their marriages in the face of challenges that can be resolved with combined effort.
“Understanding certain aspects doesn’t mean you part ways. If awareness has dawned and everyone possesses their rights, it doesn’t mean that God has sanctioned separation,” she conveyed.
During her interview, Nida refrained from providing a judgment on the merits or drawbacks of divorce or the accessibility of the right. Instead, she pointed out instances where divorce was “used” as a quick solution without addressing “actual” issues.
“When you’ve made a commitment and God has united you through marriage, perseverance becomes essential,” Nida asserted.
Meanwhile, Nida also shared her personal experiences from her own marriage. She shared that irrespective of the intensity, disagreements are part of marital relationships, and every disagreement comes with a resolution.
Nida and her spouse, actor-producer Yasir Nawaz, have been married for over a decade and are parents to three children.
