One Battle After Another marks Anderson’s return following the success of his 2021 movie, “Licorice Pizza”.
The brief teaser, which comes ahead of a full trailer set to debut next week, presents a series of dramatic scenes where characters engage in gunfire across a field.
A striking moment features Taylor’s character, visibly pregnant, as she fires a rifle, while DiCaprio’s character observes with a drink in his hand.
The narrative quickly shifts to the arrival of a baby, accompanied by a voiceover questioning, “What are you gonna do about this baby?”
The teaser then transitions to scene with a now-grown child, who is seen handling a rifle, echoing his mother’s earlier actions.
Before the teaser’s release, information regarding One Battle After Another was scare. Only vague references to a modern setting and an ensemble cast were known.
Speculation arose about the movie’s budget, with initial reports suggesting it could be Anderson’s costliest endeavour to date. The estimated budget is projected to be over $100 million, with reports of reaching as high as $140 million.
Anderson’s previous movie, Licorice Pizza, encountered financial difficulties, failing to recover its $40 million budget despite receiving rave reviews.
Filming for the project began in January 2024, under the working title “BC Project”, primarily in California. The production utilised 35 mm film and VistaVision cameras, with additional shooting taking place in El Paso, Texas.
One Battle After Another represents Anderson’s sixth collaboration with composer Johnny Greenwood and the fifth project with first assistant director Adam Somner, who passed away in November last year.

The movie draws loose inspiration from Thomas Pynchon’s novel, “Vineland”, an experimental narrative set in 1984 California.
As excitement builds, audiences are keen to witness DiCaprio’s performance in what could be yet another notable role in the acclaimed actor’s discography
