MUMBAI:  Acclaimed actor Pankaj Tripathi opened up about the upcoming clash of his satirical comedy drama OMG 2 with Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, both sequels scheduled to hit the theatres on August 11.

According to the Indian media, Tripathi said that he was not bothered by the highly-anticipated clash. He said that his primary focus was on his acting craft.

“I don’t worry about anything else other than acting. If four movies are released on the same day, and all four of them are good, then all will succeed,” he added.

The Mimi actor also said that he has never been concerned about the box office number of his movies. “I don’t really bother about how many screens we have got. I’m not even aware of where my movie will be released. My job is to act, and I don’t have any idea about the business side of the film.” Pankaj said

Meanwhile, earlier, Deol also  responded to the clash between the movies and said that he did not understand the comparison. The Ghayal actor cited the instance of the prequel Gadar, which faced-off with Aamir Khan’s cult-classic sports-drama Lagaan in 2001, yet triumphed at the box office.

Gadar 2 serves as the sequel to Deol’s 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and features Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur in the leads, while OMG 2 follows the spiritual journey initiated by Paresh Rawal’s film OMG, featuring Akshay Kumar and Yami Gautam.
