BUENOS AIRES: Following Liam Payne’s death last week, sources revealed that cocaine and methamphetamine were found in his system on Monday from the preliminary tests.

Multiple sites, including ABC News, Associated Press, and TMZ reported that a drug cocktail dubbed “pink cocaine”, which includes methamphetamine, ketamine, and MDMA, was found in Liam Payne’s system from an autopsy conducted after his death. The toxicology report also revealed benzodiazepine and crack cocaine. Narcotics and alcohol were also present among the wreckage within Payne’s hotel room, according to Argentinian investigators.

The source remained anonymous as he was not yet allowed to brief journalists. An investigation is being conducted by Argentina’s public prosecution due to the death’s sudden and unexpected nature.

The leading theory is that the One Direction singer suffered a substance abuse induced breakdown before his three-story fall. Twenty-five traumatic injuries revealed in the autopsy proved that the singer’s death was indeed caused from the fall.

In a press release, the prosecutions stated that their investigation also seeks to determine whether there was any third-party involvement in the events prior to Payne’s death.

Media also reported that witnesses claimed Payne was acting erratically before his death. Two women are claiming to have shared drinks with the singer hours before his death. The two, Aldana Serrano 31, and Lucila Goitea 27, are among the five witnesses that prosecutors stated they had questioned, with the three others being hotel workers.
