Dengue cases on the rise in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The surge in dengue cases continues to grip Islamabad as three new infections have emerged within the past 24 hours alone.
The cumulative count of dengue-afflicted individuals in the capital city has now reached 40, as highlighted by the Islamabad District Health Officer (DHO).
Within this tally, the rural areas of Islamabad accounted for 27 instances, while the urban locales reported 13 cases. These escalating numbers signal a growing public health challenge for the city.
Bangladesh sees record death toll from dengue outbreak
Among those affected, two dengue patients are presently undergoing treatment at PIMS Hospital, while eight are admitted to Holy Family Hospital, and DHQ Hospital is handling nine case. Almost one-third of these patients are male, as disclosed by the DHO.
As dengue cases in Islamabad continue to rise, it is imperative for health authorities, medical institutions, and the general public to collaborate effectively in order to curb the further spread of the disease.
