MUMBAI: Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has finally spoken about the terrifying attack at his Mumbai home last month and narrated the details of his eight-year-old son’s bravery.
In an exclusive interview with Delhi Times, he detailed the incident and praised his eight-year-old son, Taimur, for his courage during the ordeal.
On January 16, an intruder attacked Saif at his residence, leaving him with six knife wounds. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, with Taimur by his side.
Recalling the chaotic moments, Saif shared, “I felt pain in my back and knew something was wrong. Kareena (Kapoor) was making frantic calls but couldn’t reach anyone. We looked at each other, and I said, ‘I’m fine. I’m not going to die.’ Even Taimur asked me, ‘Are you going to die?’ and I reassured him, ‘No.’”

While earlier reports suggested that Ibrahim had accompanied him, it was later confirmed that Taimur was the one by his side. Saif described his son’s calm demeanor, saying:
“He was absolutely composed. He said, ‘I’m coming with you.’ At that moment, just looking at him gave me a lot of comfort.”
The Jewel Thief actor was hospitalised for five days and was discharged on January 21. He made his first public appearance earlier this month at a Netflix India event, sporting a bandaged neck and a cast on his hand, assuring fans that he is recovering well.
