Sean Diddy arrest: P!nk speaks out after social media purge

WEB DESK: Singer P!nk finally addressed her decision to erase all ofl her tweets on X (formerly Twitter) in light of Sean Diddy Combs’ recent arrest.

The singer took to image-sharing social media platform Instagram to clarify the timings of her social media actions. P!nk revealed that she deleted her X account back in February 6, long before the current debacle surrounding Diddy.

In her post, she included a screenshot of a past tweet that declared “This account will self-destruct in two minutes”.

P!nk expressed her bewilderment at becoming the topic of a discussion in the media. She stated “I don’t understand why I am making headlines this week, but I wiped my twitter account on Febryary 6!”

The rock-inspired popstar firmly stated that the rumours linking her to Diddy Combs were unfounded. “While I have met some people briefly, I have no ties to any of those mentioned”.

P!nk’s decision to clean up her social media coincided with increased attention following Combs’ arrest in his New York City residence on September 16.

The famous rapper is facing several allegations, including sex trafficking, racketeering and trnasportating people for prostitution.

The timing of the two events raised suspicion in the watchful eye of the public and lead to several speculations. Many mulled over the fact if the singer was trying to ‘send’ a message or whether she was trying to distance herself from any potential associations with Diddy.

The singer is not alone in her social media actions; rapper Usher also announced his inteitons to delete his account after experiencing a hack. The “Yeah!” singer informed his followers on X that “account got hacked and all ran with it!”

In the wake of Combs’ arrest, rumours also started on the death of his on-off partner Kim Porter, who is also the mother of his children.

Porter’s father, Jack Porter, publicly responded to the controversy surrounding his late daughter’s partner. He expressed hope that “the truth will emerge”.

However, the father refrained from commenting on the charges against Combs. He did, however, express disgust over a viral video showing Cassie Ventura, another former partner of Combs.

Kim’s father, described the previous investigation into his daughter’s death as doubtful. However, he did not cal for a renewed inquiry into her death.

Kim Porter was reported to have died of lobar pneumonia in 2018, with the official inquiry ruling her death as natural.

 Meanwhile, Porter’s children with Combs declare their mother passed away of natural causes.
