Sharvari Wagh joins Alia Bhatt in YRF’s spy-thriller

MUMBAI: Indian actress Sharvari Wagh is set to share the big screen with Alia Bhatt in the upcoming Yash Raj Film’s (YRF) untitled spy-thriller movie.

According to media reports, producer Aditya Chopra had recently announced the expansion of the YRF spy universe with this movie, which is expected to go on floors next year.

“Sharvari impressed everyone with her performance in Bunty Aur Babli 2, and while the film might not have fared as expected at the box office, Aditya Chopra has recognized her hidden talent. He’s placing his bets on her to become the next big star of Hindi cinema. Sharvari is set to make a grand comeback in an action-packed avatar as a spy in the YRF Spy Universe, standing shoulder to shoulder with Alia Bhatt in the female-led Spy Film,” revealed an Indian media source.

Though there hasn’t been an official statement from Chopra or Wagh regarding this mega announcement, fans are buzzing with anticipation for this thrilling collaboration.

The media reports said that the YRF spy universe has already gathered an impressive roster, with Katrina Kaif playing ISI agent Zoya in the Tiger franchise, and Deepika Padukone portraying ISI spy Rubina in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan.

Meanwhile Kiara Advani has also been confirmed  to join the spy universe, starring in War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR.

The untitled Bhatt-Wagh starrer marks the eighth installment in the YRF spy universe, adding to the excitement that began with Ek Tha Tiger, followed by Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3, War 2, and Tiger VS. Pathaan.
