Shefali Jariwala of ‘Bigg Boss’, ‘Kaanta Laga’ fame passes away

WEB DESK: Indian actress and model Shefali Jariwala of ‘Bigg Boss’ and ‘Kaanta Laga’ fame passed away in early hours of Saturday at the age of 42.
First bursting on the screens in the 2000s when she starred in the hit music video ‘Kaanta Laga’, reports suggest the quadragenarian was pronounced dead upon arrival to a hospital in Mumbai, India.

As per local media, Shefali Jariwala was brought to the hospital late on Friday by her husband, Parag Tyagi. Medical workers confirmed that the actress had already passed away.
Her body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
Shefali Jariwala career
Born on December 15. 1982 in Mumbai, Shefali Jarawali enjoyed a diverse career spanning over two decades. She participated in several dance reality competitions, including ‘Nach Baliye 5’, and ‘Nach Baliye 7’, alongside her spouse.
She has also appeared in several movies, including ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ and ‘Hudugaru’.
Shefali Jariwala gained prominence following her appearance in the remix of ‘Kaanta Laga’, a track that became emblematic of early 2000s Indian pop culture. Her striking appearance and captivating danced moves propelled her to stardom.
Following her initial success, she featured in numerous television programmes and reality series, including ‘Bigg Boss’ season 13, where she garnered acclaim for her ‘authenticity’.
Beyond her on-screen endeavours, Shefali Jariwala was an advocate for mental health, openly discussing her personal challenges and earning respect for her transparency.
The announcement of her untimely passing has reverberated through the South Asian entertainment scenes, with the Indian actress enjoying lots of fans in Pakistan, as well.
