Stars align: Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence reunite for new film

WEB DESK: Hold onto your popcorn, folks. Hollywood’s dream team is back in action! Legendary director Martin Scorsese is reuniting with longtime muse Leonardo DiCaprio for a chilling new film, and this time, they are bringing Jennifer Lawrence along for the ride.

Fresh off the critically acclaimed Killers of the Flower Moon, Scorsese is stepping behind the camera once more, not just as a producer but officially as the director of his next big-screen venture: a spine-tingling adaptation of Peter Cameron’s ghost story novel, What Happens at Night.

Meanwhile, Don’t Look Up duo is also still fresh in the minds and hearts of fans as smart scientists who tried really hard to save the world. And now they will be trying out a new adventure.

HOLLYWOOD HAUNTS AND STRANGE HOTEL GUESTS

The story follows a married couple journeying to a sleepy European town to adopt a child. But their plans quickly unravel inside a mysterious, nearly abandoned hotel filled with bizarre characters, including a larger-than-life chanteuse, a sinister businessman, and a faith healer with an unsettling charm. As their reality starts to slip, the couple is forced to confront not just the eerie locals, but the cracks in their own relationship.

While Leo and Marty are practically cinematic soulmates, (add The Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island, and The Wolf of Wall Street to your re-watch list), this marks the first time Jennifer Lawrence steps into the Scorsese universe. And insiders say the Oscar-winning actress is ready to deliver a knockout performance.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Scorsese was originally just backing the film but will now also helm the project as director. The film is being developed by Apple Original Films alongside Studiocanal, who snagged the book rights last year. Acclaimed playwright Patrick Marber is penning the screenplay.
