Suspect arrested in Saif Ali Khan attack case

MUMBAI: Mumbai police have apprehended a suspect linked to the knife attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, according to Indian media reports.
The incident occurred early Thursday morning at Saif’s residence in the ‘Satguru Sharan’ building in Bandra, where he lives with his wife Kareena Kapoor and their two sons, Taimur and Jeh.
According to police, the intruder broke into Saif’s four-floor apartment on the 12th floor during the early hours. When the actor confronted the trespasser, a violent scuffle broke out, leaving Saif with six stab wounds.
The attacker managed to escape but was captured on CCTV footage climbing down the building’s stairs after the altercation.

After an intensive search operation, police arrested a suspect believed to be the assailant. While his identity remains unconfirmed, officials suspect he is the same person seen in the CCTV footage. The suspect was detained following questioning of multiple individuals resembling the attacker, the police revealed.
An official noted that the man brought to the Bandra police station was carrying a backpack similar to the one seen in the CCTV recordings from Saif’s building.
DOCTORS SAY SAIF ALI KHAN IS RECOVERING WELL
Saif Ali Khan is recovering after undergoing emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital, where he was admitted following the attack.
The 54-year-old actor, who sustained six stab wounds, including one to the neck, is said to be “doing very well,” according to doctors treating him. His condition has improved significantly, and he has been moved from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a private room in the hospital.
