LOS ANGELES: Pakistan’s cinematic prowess is set to shine on the global stage as The Legend of Maula Jatt secures a nomination in the Best Fight category at the prestigious Taurus World Stunt Awards, according to an official press release.
While clinching the title of the highest-grossing Pakistani movie was undoubtedly a remarkable achievement, this latest nomination adds another feather to the cap of Bilal Lashari’s epic movie. The nod comes in recognition of the unforgettable and adrenaline-pumping final battle scene between Maula and Noori, portrayed by Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi.
The meticulously coordinated stunts, masterminded by stunt guru Ian Van Temperley himself, have positioned this local contender against global heavyweights such as Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Gray Man.

Notably, the movie achieved the distinction of becoming the highest-grossing Punjabi movie of all time at the global box office during its fourth week of release.
Prior to this, it had already claimed the titles of the highest-grossing Pakistani movie and the second-highest-grossing movie in the UK for 2022, in addition to being the most-watched South Asian movie in Norway. In a stunning achievement, the movie swiftly crossed the PKR400 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
