ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s beloved comedian and actor, Umer Sharif, was fondly remembered on the occasion of his second death anniversary. Umer Sharif, born on April 19, 1960, in Karachi, left an indelible mark on the world of entertainment.

His illustrious career took flight in Karachi, where he began as a stage performer at the young age of 19 in 1974. Over the years, he brought endless laughter to audiences with his exceptional comic timing and witty performances.

Some of his most popular comedy stage plays, such as “Bakra Qistoon Pe” and “Buddha Ghar Pe Hy,” became iconic in Pakistan’s entertainment landscape. Umer Sharif’s contributions extended beyond the stage, as he starred in notable films including “Mr 420,” “Mr Charlie,” “Ghunda Raj,” “Laat Sahab,” “Kundan,” “But Shikan,” and “Chand Babu.”

In 1992, Umer Sharif received National awards for both Best Director and Best Actor, a testament to his multifaceted skills. The legendary comedian and actor passed away on October 2, 2021, in Germany, due to a heart attack.
