Video: Lion makes scary entry on Karachi road

KARACHI: A video of a lion walking on at Karachi’s Shahrah-e-Faisal has gone viral on social media.

The video, shows the lion walking calmly down the street, near Aisha Bawani College.

Has the lion been caught?

The lion has been captured by wildlife officials and transferred to the wildlife department.

Sindh govt takes action: 

The incident also drew the attention of the Sindh government, with Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (Retired) Maqbool Baqar taking immediate notice of the incident and directing the Wildlife Department to investigate the matter.

“The Wildlife Department has been directed to immediately send a team of experts to capture the lion and take it into custody,” he said.

He also said that the government would take strict action against those responsible for keeping the lion in a residential area.

The video quickly went viral on social media, with many people expressing surprise and concern. Some people speculated may have been released by a private owner. However, Wildlife authorities are still investigating the matter.
