Viral video is haunting me, says Sajal Malik

Tiktoker Sajal Malik denies viral video

LAHORE: Pakistani TikTok star Sajal Malik has broken her silence over an explicit video circulating online that allegedly features her, calling it “completely fake” and a case of “character assassination.”

In a statement, Malik said the video, which went viral on April 22, 2025, has left her “mentally haunted” and wrongfully accused. The clip sparked massive debate on social media, with users divided over its authenticity.

Malik, who is known for her street interviews and social commentary on TikTok – where she has over 176,000 followers – has now approached Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to trace the source of the leak.

TikToker Sajal Malik’s explicit video goes viral, fans decry breach of privacy

“This isn’t just trolling. It’s an attack on my dignity and privacy,” she said, adding that she is pursuing legal action.

Her earlier silence had triggered online speculation, but she’s now taken a firm stand, urging authorities to act against those behind the fake content.

This case adds to a growing list of Pakistani influencers facing similar issues. In recent months, Minahil Malik and Imsha Rehman also battled the fallout of alleged leaked videos, raising serious concerns about digital safety for online creators.

Supporters of Sajal Malik have come out strongly, demanding justice and calling out the toxic trend of online shaming. Many are urging the public to respect privacy and avoid spreading unverified content.

As the FIA begins its probe, the incident has once again highlighted the urgent need for stronger laws to protect individuals from cyber harassment and misinformation.
