Poker faces OFF, monsters ON! Lady Gaga has officially entered the Wednesday universe and she’s bringing the drama, the danger, and a brand-new banger.
Netflix just dropped a first look at Gaga as Rosaline Rotwood, a mysterious, sharp-tongued teacher who’s about to turn Nevermore Academy upside down in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2. And trust us, she’s no Little Monster… she’s a full-blown gothic idol.

Dubbed “a vision in venom,” Rotwood is said to be a legendary figure at Nevermore, and word on the cobwebbed halls is that she’s got a few dark secrets of her own. Will she be friend or foe to our deadpan darling, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega)? Time, and Tim Burton’s twisted vision, will tell.
The reveal happened during the Graveyard Gala, a Netflix x Spotify spooktacular hosted in NYC’s Guastavino’s, where Gaga made a surprise appearance alongside Ortega and the rest of the returning cast.
BUT WAIT… THERE’S MUSIC, TOO!
In classic Gaga fashion, she’s not just acting, she’s also singing. Her new single, “The Dead Dance,” drops the same day as Part 2 (September 3), and it’s already being teased as the anthem of the underworld. Gaga told Netflix the song was inspired by a “breakup,” but promises it’s “about having fun with your friends when you’ve been through something tough… and amazing.”
Returning cast members include fan faves Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez), Gomez (Luis Guzmán), Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), and even Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen), but with Gaga’s gothic glam entering the mix, all eyes are on Rotwood.
