What is so special about Indian Movie Pushpa 2?

WEB DESK: The highly awaited sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring National Award-winning actor Allu Arjun, is already making headlines and is seen as a revival of Indian cinema

The film has broken records with ₹1,085 crore in pre-release earnings and ₹32.53 crore in India in the first few hours of its release today (Thursday).

Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, it earned ₹640 crore from theatrical rights and ₹425 crore from non-theatrical deals, including a big sale to Netflix. This makes it one of the most successful Indian films even before its release. Ashish Saksena, COO of BookMyShow, called it a “historic moment for Indian cinema”.

STAR CAST AND STORY

Pushpa 2 features Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles. The story dives deeper into Pushparaj’s fight in the dangerous world of red sandalwood smuggling. Other cast members include Sritej, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Priyamani, and Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari.

Fans are also excited about Shraddha Kapoor’s special appearance in a much-talked-about dance with Allu Arjun.

The sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise, this movie builds on the success of the first film, which won Allu Arjun a National Award.

Pushpa 2 is seen as a revival of the Indian cinema worldwide due to its thrilling storyline, action-packed scenes and massive fan following.
