Although Shiraz struggled a bit with the pronunciation of Akhtar’s name, he emphasized the bowler’s sheer menace on the pitch. He described Akhtar as “extremely dangerous” with the ball in hand.

Notably, Akhtar’s fastest recorded delivery clocked at a staggering 161.3 kilometers per hour, achieved during a World Cup match against England in Cape Town back in 2003.
