WEB DESK: Audible and Pottermore Publishing have announced the cast and global release schedule for Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions – a new series of audiobooks based on the seven Harry Potter novels by JK Rowling.

The first title, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, will be released on November 4, 2025. Each of the six remaining titles will be released monthly through May 2026. The productions feature more than 200 voice actors and are being promoted as unabridged editions with original music and sound design.

The lead cast includes Hugh Laurie as Albus Dumbledore, Matthew Macfadyen as Lord Voldemort, Riz Ahmed as Professor Snape, and Michelle Gomez as Professor McGonagall. Cush Jumbo will serve as narrator for the full seven-book series.

Child actors Frankie Treadaway, Max Lester, and Arabella Stanton will voice Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger, respectively, in the first three audiobooks. Stanton is also portraying Hermione Granger in the forthcoming HBO television adaptation of the series. Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan, and Nina Barker-Francis will take over the same roles in books four through seven.

Casting for the project was completed in early 2025. More than 2,000 hours of recording have taken place to date. Audible first announced the project in April 2024.
