100 MW Iranian electricity to improve lives in Gwadar: Ahsan Iqbal


ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal has said that the supply of 100 MW electricity from Iran will improve the lives and business of the people of Gwadar.

The minister said that the several projects had been completed by the incumbent government in Gwadar, particularly projects related to the water and electricity. He added that the budget allocation for Balochistan had been doubled this year indicating the federal government’s commitment to development in the much neglected province.

“Results of China Pakistan Economic Corridor CPEC in (CPEC) projects, particularly in Gwadar, have become visibly ore present from 2022 with 637,124 metric ton cargo landing at Gwadar so far,” he said.
