11 terrorists killed in KP operations: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: Security forces have killed 11 terrorists during different operations carried out in three districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR said that the intelligence-based operations were carried out between the night of December 17 and December 18.
Seven terrorists were killed in Tank district during an operation carried out on a tip-off, the ISPR said.
Another operation was conducted in Datta Khel, North Waziristan, which resulted in the death of two terrorists.
The third operation was carried out in the Mamad Gat area of Mohmand district, where two terrorists were killed after an intense clash.
The ISPR said that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the terrorists, who were actively involved in planning attacks against security forces and civilians.
A clearance operation is ongoing to eliminate any remaining foreign terrorists in the region, the ISPR said.
The ISPR reiterated the resolve of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country.
Earlier, on December 13, the ISPR had reported the killing of 43 terrorists in various operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Six terrorists were killed in Lakki Marwat district between December 12 and December13. At least 18 terrorists were killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between December 9 and 13.
Similarly, on December 13, 10 terrorists were in Balochistan’s Musa Khel and Panjgur districts. A total of 25 terrorists were killed in Balochistan between December 9 and December 13.
